ข้อมูลท้องถิ่น

1. ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ  และเขตติดต่อ
          1.1  ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ  ส่วนใหญ่เป็นป่าเขา  บริเวณที่ตั้งเป็นหมู่บ้านเล็ก ๆ  ไม่มีร้านค้าขนาดใหญ่  มีสถานที่ราชการ  ใกล้เคียงกัน  คือ  องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลนาพูน   สถานีอนามัยประจำตำบลนาพูน  และโรงเรียนบ้านนาปลากั้ง  ในพื้นที่ไม่มีสถานบริการ  สถานบันเทิง  โรงแรม  สถานเริงรมย์  บังกะโล  ธนาคาร  ร้านทอง  แต่อย่างใด

          1.2 สถานภาพทางภูมิศาสตร์ มีอาณาเขตติดเขตติดต่อกับพื้นที่ต่าง  ๆ  ดังนี้
-  ทิศเหนือ                 ติดต่อกับ    ต. ไทรย้อย    อ. เด่นชัย          จ. แพร่
-  ทิศใต้                    ติดต่อกับ     ต. แม่สิน       อ. ศรีสัชนาลัย    จ. สุโขทัย
-  ทิศตะวันออก           ติดต่อกับ    ต. ทุ้งแล้ง      อ. ลอง             จ. แพร่
-  ทิศตะวันตก             ติดต่อกับ    ต. วังชิ้น        อ. วังชิ้น           จ. แพร่ 

          1.3 การคมนาคม ติดต่อได้ทางรถยนต์ได้ทางเดียว  มีเส้นทางหลวงผ่านได้  2  สาย
1.3.1 เส้นทางหลวงหมายเลข  1125 ( นาปลากั้ง- วังชิ้น ) ผ่าน หมู่ที่ 3 และ หมู่ที่ 8 ต.นาพูน อ.วังชิ้น  จ. แพร่
1.3.2 เส้นทางหลวงหมายเลข  101( เด่นชัย- ศรีสัชนาลัย ) ผ่าน หมู่ที่ 7 และหมู่ที่ 9 ต.นาพูน อ.วังชิ้น จ. แพร่

         1.4 การปกครอง ในพื้นที่มีหมู่บ้าน อยู่ในความปกครองรวม  1  ตำบล  11  หมู่บ้านคือ

หมู่ที่  11  บ้านวังลึกพัฒนา

          1.5  เศรษฐกิจของประชาชนในพื้นที่  ประชาชน  ส่วนใหญ่ประกอบอาชีพทางด้านเกษตรกรรม  ทำนา  ทำสวน  ทำไร่  และทำเฟอร์นิเจอร์รากไม้ หนุ่มสาวส่วนใหญ่จะเดินทางไปทำงานต่างจังหวัด  และ  กรุงเทพฯ 

         1.6  จำนวนประชากร  มีบ้านเรือนอาศัย  จำนวน  1,964  หลังคาเรือน  มีประชากรประมาณ  7,543  คน  ใน  จำนวนนี้  มีชาวไทยใหญ่  และชาวไทยภูเขา  รวมอยู่ด้วย  คือ

  • ชาวไทยใหญ่  จำนวน  41 หลังคาเรือน  244  คน 
  • ชาวไทยภูเขาเผ่าอาข่า  จำนวน  23  หลังคาเรือน  จำนวน  146  คน

         1.7 ที่ทำการไปรษณีย์  หมู่บ้าน มี   1   แห่ง
         1.8 สถานศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา มี   6   แห่ง
         1.9สถานศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา มี   4   แห่ง
         1.10วัดในพุทธศาสนา มี   9   แห่ง
         1.11โบสถ์คริสตจักร มี   3   แห่ง
         1.12ปั้มน้ำมัน มี   7   แห่ง
